McAfee and Facebook recently stated that they "jointly created security solutions that include McAfee security software, a custom scanning and repair tool, and consumer friendly education materials" all of which are going to be made available to Facebooks millions of users. "In total, this is a first-of-its-kind security offering that represents a major milestone in the fight to secure the internet and reduce global cybercrime" the companies said. I dont think Symnatec will be to happy to see this updated relationship status!
As part of this, McAfee will be offering a 6-month complimentary subscription to McAfee Internet Security Software to Facebook users. All you have to do, is become a fan of the McAfee Facebook page and click on the Protect Your PC tab. After the 6 months, subscribers will enjoy a discount to McAfee software.
