Invest in Wee-Wee Pads!

We all knew this day was coming it was just a matter of when. As most people know, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer has ceased publication of their print edition earlier this week. I remember seeing Mark Andreesen on Charlie Rose recently and he said the first thing he would do as a newspaper publisher would be to immediately stop the presses and get rid of the print edition. A bold statement but delivered by somebody who has a phenomenal track record and is still on the forefront of emerging digital technologies (click on his name above to get an idea of all his accomplishments). The one thing I hear echoed most with the Seattle P-I situation is that perhaps the remaining print journalists out there who tend to look down on online journalists and use the word "blogger" in a derogatory manner will finally come around. With the new Amazon Kindle and the continuing rise of netbooks, the old idea of reading the morning paper with a cup of coffee is becoming less of a ritual. One thing is certain...Seattle area dog owners will be looking for new alternatives to lay down in their bathrooms. I'm no Warren Buffett but I have a hunch the wee-wee pad market is going to explode in the near future.
